Ever since our founding, basic management policy has been the “Three Confidence”: the total confidence of our customers in the use of products, the total confidence of our associates in all business transactions, and the total confidence of our employees in all their effort. Moreover, by offering solutions for creating a society in which everyone can feel reassured—including disaster-prevention broadcast systems and crime-prevention cameras—we have stayed true to our corporate value of “Smiles for the Public.” I am confident that our long-standing commitment to providing customers with value in the form of reassurance, reliability, and emotion through the creation of a good experience through sound is also in line with the SDGs philosophy and approach to realizing a sustainable society.

In our Medium-term Management Plan, which we are currently implementing, we have pledged to make our initiatives visible from an ESG perspective, and to keep updating these initiatives as we move forward. With regard to climate change (E), we are intent on reducing emissions from our supply chain and have set ourselves a goal of achieving a 31% cut in our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 compared with FY2021 levels. As for diversity (S), with the ultimate aim of creating an environment in which various types of people can thrive, we have kicked things off by launching an initiative for promoting the advancement of female personnel. And finally, in the area of governance (G), we have enhanced management oversight by appointing a third of our board positions to Independent Outside Directors since the Stockholders' Meeting in June 2023.

Through the implementation of our Mid-term Plan, we will continue to create new value with customers as part of our efforts to resolve social issues while helping achieve a sustainable society, and—as declared in our management vision for 2030—we will be focusing on establishing ourselves as “Dr. Sound,” a professional organization that improves sound in society.
