Brussels Expo
Built at the occasion of the World Expo of 1958, Brussels Expo is an exposition site with 12 halls, located at the Heyzel in the center of Brussels. In 2008, the management of Brussels Expo decided that the Brussels Expo needed a new paging, evacuation and BGM system with voice alarm products and approached Prévost System Integration(PSI), TOA’s exclusive distributor in Belgium and Luxembourg. Their requirements are: 1) A more flexible and failsafe system and 2) A graphic interface providing easy-to-use controller software, making all actions and hall reservations easy to put into the system without impacting on security issues and logs. Then PSI proposed the SX-2000 Network-enabled Voice Evacuation System complied with EN 60849 and EN 54 standards. First of all, PSI invited the management of Brussels Expo to visit some of reference projects in France and they were convinced that TOA could provide them with a system that satisfied their demands. Secondly, a custom-made user software was developed. The user can control and change easily the system. Finally, 6 pieces of SX-2100AI, 6 pieces of SX-2100AO and VP Series power amplifiers were installed in 3 racks. 26 Remote Microphones are placed around the Expo’s various halls and patios areas. The Brussels Expo now has a state-of-the-art new sound system.

KOBE Luminarie
The beautifully lit Kobe Luminarie has been held every year to symbolize the ongoing restoration and reconstruction of Kobe following the devastation of 1995's Great Hanshin Earthquake. Adding a poetic charm to winter in Kobe, it now attracts millions of people from all over Japan. TOA has taken responsibility for the Luminarie's main sound presentation from the very first year, and has made the lights seem brighter and more colorful by creating a musical accompaniment specially suited to each year's new theme. TOA's advanced technical know-how helps create a visionary world, with the music changing as people stroll through the arches of light, and sound effects scattered across the entire site, all culminating in an inspiring harmony that brings the closing ceremony to a poignant end.
