TOA releases world's first total solution for EN 54 compliant voice alarm systems.

EN 54 is a standard of the European Union (EU) for fire detection and fire alarm systems, and the relevant parts to the voice alarm and audio industry are part 16, which is concerned with voice alarm control and indicating equipment (VACIE), and part 24, which refers to loudspeakers.
This European standard is an EU regulation and therefore it is mandatory in each EU member state without the necessity of being adopted as a national standard. It belongs to the construction product directive (CPD, 89/106/EEC) and requires a certification by a notified body which ensures a high product quality and reliability.

It is imperative that installers and consultant follow these new regulations in order to keep the continuity of quality and safety when designing and installing voice alarm systems, this will enable them to spearhead better integration of Voice Alarm (VA) and Public Address (PA) as the directive takes hold. Furthermore EN54 will play a significant role in the market for voice evacuation as the member states of the European Union will be obliged to replace their local standards with the EN54 standard by April 2011.

Helping to make audio systems designed for the future, TOA reveals their eagerly awaited EN 54 European standard fire alarm audio products, this is a world's first in providing a complete and fully EN 54 certified audio control and speaker system.

Among the line-up is the VM-3000, not only the new 'yardstick' in compact public address and voice alarm systems, but also one of the first to be certified with the EN 54-16 standard and is a key product in delivering greater public security.
To support this TOA has also gained certification of their PC-1867FC flush-mounted ceiling speaker and their BS-680FC wall-mount loudspeaker.
The power supply system VX-2000DS and VX-200PS obtained its certification on EN 54-4 already in 2009.

Now, it's possible for TOA to offer a complete solution to voice alarm under the banner of EN 54.But, we are not going to stop at that, we are already well under way with the release of even more products to give an even wider choice to our customer for their voice alarm application requirements.
